Hello! Welcome to the Les Gourmets team! THANK YOU for volunteering your time and skills at this year’s event. We look forward to working with you. The following are training dates and times. If you have questions regarding your specific training date, please email Jenna & Moriah at lesgourmetshr@gmail.com. Front of House & Reception:
ONE of two training dates is required

1.) Monday, March 31st 7:30PM – 9:30PM Kellogg Hotel HB Dining Room OR
2.) Tuesday, April 1st 7:30PM - 9:30PM Kellogg Hotel HB Dining Room

Prep Volunteers: TBA *If you have signed up for prep on Friday or Saturday you will be contacted by Tuesday, March 18th with specific time commitments.

Name: Christine Krieber

Christine grew up in Traverse City, Michigan and is a sophomore at Michigan State. She chose Michigan State because of its spectacular Hospitality Business School and is excited to pursue a career in event planning. Over the past two summers she worked and completed her first level internship with Crystal Mountain Resort. Christine plans to study abroad this summer in Scotland to complete six credits and most importantly to be able to play golf everyday. She is very enthusiastic about being apart of Les Gourmets-Flavors of South America and is very privileged to be apart of such a successful event.

Rachael is currently a junior in The School of Hospitality Business and grew up in Grand Ledge, MI. She completed her first internship in the summer of 2006 with the Sheraton Lansing Hotel. This past summer she worked in Saugatuck, MI for michiganvacation.org as an intern resort manager. Upon graduating in May of 2009, Rachael will pursue a career in hotel food and beverage.

I am a Junior majoring in Hospitality Business from Northville, Michigan. I have always worked in restaurants, and couldn't think of doing anything else. During the summer of 2006, I completed my level one internship as a prep cook at Rocky's of Northville, and last summer worked at Westmoreland Country Club in Chicago as an F&B intern. This coming summer, I will be doing a management internship with Brinker International at On The Border in Novi, Michigan. After graduation, I plan on going into restaurant food and beverage operations. In my second year as a Heart of House Supervisor, I am looking forward to the best Les Gourmets yet!

Matthew is a second generation Spartan, born and raised in East Lansing, MI. With the dream of owning his own restaurants since the age of 16, becoming a student of The School was a natural decision. He completed his Level I Internship with Mitchell’s Fish Market last year, and will be spending this summer on a Study Abroad in Australia as well as completing his Level II Internship with Mitchell’s. He plans to go into management with Mitchell’s Fish Market upon graduation in December 2009. This is his second year with Les Gourmets, and he looks forward to making this the best year yet.

Monica is originally from Port Sanilac, MI and currently a junior in The School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State. She completed her first internship at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and will earn her second level this summer. Monica is food and beverage focused in the hospitality industry. This is her second year involved in Les Gourmets.

Katie is originally from England but has lived the past 10 years in Michigan. She is currently a junior in The School of Hospitality Business at Michigan State focusing in Food and Beverage within Resorts. She completed her first level internship at The Historic Holly Hotel where she found her niche in fine dinning. She will continue her advancement in exquisite dinning and services with her second level internship this summer at Portofino Island Resort and Spa, in Florida. This is her first year involved with Les Gourmets and is looking forward to making it the best experience possible for everyone.
